Attendance Policy

posted Jun 9, 2017, 2:02 AM by Principal account
Earlier this term we introduced a new Attendance Policy which was forwarded to the community via SEQTA.  A copy of which can be accessed here.  Please be aware that if the office is unsure of the reason why your child is absent on a particular day, you will receive a text message with the following information:

"St Dominic's School records show [name] is absent without explanation ([day], [date]). Please contact reception on 9446 1929, if you believe they should be at school. All student absentees should be followed up with an email or signed letter to your child's classroom teacher".

The intent of this text message is to ensure that your child is safe and that you are aware of their whereabouts. If you receive one of these text messages and are concerned please call the office immediately.  No action is required if you know they are safe.

To assist the office in knowing that your child is going to be absent, please either call the office in the morning or email admin@stdominics.wa.edu.au.  You may wish to include the classroom teacher in this email, as an absentee email or signed letter from a parent/ guardian is required for all absences.

Further information is outlined in the policy, so please take the time to read through it when you have a moment.
