Diagnostic Testing Time at St Dominic's School

posted Mar 1, 2017, 11:52 PM by Principal account
At the start of each year the staff conduct a number of diagnostic tests in order to gather data on how each individual child is developing academically.  This data is used to create and organise learning experiences that meet the needs of each individual child.  Some of these assessments are done as a whole class and others are conducted individually.  To enable time for your child's teacher to administer the one on one assessments, a relief teacher is organised to take the class.  Your child's teacher will leave work for the relief teacher to follow, ensuring that their isn't a break in the learning planned and the disruption is kept to a minimum.
