Ferrer Day Celebrations on Monday

posted Jun 9, 2017, 2:04 AM by Principal account

Monday 12th June, is the Ferrer Feast Day Celebration here at St Dominic's School, where we celebrate the life of one of our Faction Saints, St. Vincent Ferrer.  His Feast Day is actually on the 5th April, but we are celebrating it this term as a whole school.

We will begin the Feast Day celebrations with a liturgy in the school hall, as part of the prayer assembly.  This will commence at 8:50am.  Parents are welcome to join us for this special occasion.

We will be watching a short video about St. Ferrer and playing a whole school bingo game in the hall after the liturgy, based on the symbols of St. Ferrer.

To help celebrate this special day, ALL students are encouraged to wear one item or accessory that is BLUE on this day i.e. blue socks, a blue hat, blue shoes, blue shirt etc.  The students in Ferrer faction will also receive an icy-pole at lunchtime.
