Just some last minute bits of information before tomorrows Faction Swimming Carnival.

Letters - Please click here to access the original letter sent out regarding the Year 3 - 6 carnival and here for the Year 1 - 2 events.

Parking - There is a 2 hour parking limit at the Claremont Swimming Pool, however, if you are coming to spectate and will be there for longer than the 2 hour limit, upon paying your spectator entry fee you can ask for a parking extension form from the cashier. The form will need to be displayed on your vehicles dashboard. Please be aware that last year parking fines were handed out to those who did not display the form.

Bathers - Students in Year 3 to 6 are expected to wear St Dominic's School swimming bathers, however, we are aware that stock has been limited at the uniform shop. If you have been unable to purchase a pair of bathers we encourage students to wear alternative similar style bathers. Faction coloured swimming caps will be available for the students to wear.

Faction Tops - If you child owns a new faction polo they should wear this tomorrow. Alternatively, students can wear the grey and white polo or the older cream top.

Student Arrival Time at School - It would be extremely helpful if the students in Year 3 -6 could arrive at school at around 8:30am, as we would like to get moving when the bell goes at 8:45am. Our Year 1 and 2 students will be leaving at around 9:30am and will arrive back at school at approximately 12:00pm.

Morning Tea and Lunch - Tomorrows program is a busy one so there won't be any official breaks, unless we are running ahead of schedule. Children are asked to have their morning tea and lunch in their bag and they will be instructed to eat it throughout the day. Spectators can access the small canteen that is located at the pool, however, to help us run a smooth carnival, we ask that food is not brought over to the children in the bays. If you are taking your child home after the carnival you could choose to purchased them a special treat after the carnival has concluded.

Taking Your Children Home - Parents/ caregivers are welcome to take children home after the carnival, please just let your child's classroom teacher know at the end of the carnival. The teacher will want to sight you and your children together before sending them home.

Helpers - Mrs Sarah Thompson is still looking for assistance with some jobs during the carnival. If you are able to assist please contact Sarah via email - thompson.sarah@cathednet.wa.edu.au or speak to to her directly tomorrow morning at the pool.

Sun Protection - The children will be instructed to wear a hat and suncream throughout the day, however, we recommend that all students apply suncream before coming to school. Children should also bring a full water bottle with which can be refilled during the day.

Kindy/ Pre Primary - Our Pre Primary students will have a normal day at school.  It will be much quieter for them though as the school will be empty for most of the day.

Front Office - Although most of our staff will be at the carnival, Mrs Kaye Jones will still be in the front office if you need to contact the school.

We are all looking forward to a fantastic day of fun and competition, and hope to see you there tomorrow if you can make it.
