What a fantastic year 2019 has turned out to be for the P&F.
We raised over $10,000, put on some fabulous events and brought some new ideas into the school like the movie night, year book, parents night and Christmas tea towels.
Our group of fantastic class reps, helped closely by our parents, made some very memorable events for the kids and raised some hard earned funds along the way. We also had some events to support the community building at our school and also provide the kids with new resources. A list below is what we purchased with your fundraised/ levy money in 2019:
- Senior Nature Playground Installation – $25,000
- Specialised Athletics & Swimming Coaches plus sporting equipment – $1,187
- Classroom Readers – $1,274
- Faction Flags, Stands, Banner and Swim Caps – $2,725
- St John Defibrillator – $249
- Uke Club (DUKES) 20 x ukuleles – $568
- Edu-dance – $5,110
- Soccer Goals – $1,780
- Subsidised Contribution Towards Year Books and software for Yearbook – $1,500
- Year 6 Graduation Contribution – $500
The year is nearly over and we are looking at holding our last meeting for 2019 on Wednesday 4th December at 7pm. At our last meeting we are introduced to the new class representatives and each year group picks an event to hold in 2020. We also have a few drinks and nibbles to celebrate our brilliant year, where all parents and class reps are welcome to attend. We also brainstorm some new ideas and support our new Executive who will be elected. If you would like to find out more information about these roles please get in contact with Helen Riolio our outgoing President.
We would also like to have a toast to our outgoing class reps and P&F Executive for all their hard work .
If you are thinking about becoming a class rep we would encourage you to step forward. It should take approx 8 hours of your time during the year to prepare your class event and it is up to you if you would like to attend the 2 meetings per term. We need your help to remind the class of any forms that may be due for P&F events or bring forward any suggestions from your class; plus support the wonderful things the P&F do.
The P&F would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who baked, sold items, helped out, organised an event, purchased or dontated an item or attended a fundraiser to help us become the wonderful school community we are. We can’t wait to see what 2020 will bring the kids.
