P&F Update – Mother’s Day Morning Tea Magic

We would love to give a massive “THANK YOU” to Justine and her fabulous Year 3 class for putting on the delicious Mother’s Day morning tea. There were so many tasty delights to honour all the wonderful ladies in our children’s lives; prepared and decorated beautifully with love for the school. A lot of thought and planning went into the morning and we greatly appreciate the class putting in their time for the other mums. They also sourced donations for the raffle, which raised $115 and Lady Latter gave $25 cash back from from the sale of coffees. Also a special thanks to Mrs James who put on a brilliant concert with some very special songs for us to listen and tear up to.

We would also like to give a huge high five to Anthea and Justine for carefully purchasing all the items to choose from for the Mother’s Day gift selection and for wrapping them. There was a lot of pressure to come through with the goods as our new executive shoppers, however, the consensus was we loved them all!!! Thank you for organising this for all the special ladies in the school. This is a not for profit event, we just aim to put a smile on everyone’s face for Mother’s Day.

I also wanted to say a quick “sorry” for all the people who filled out a form to not receive an Entertainment Book home. I did not double check these before sending the books home and you may have received a book even though you ticked no. Apologies for this. The good news is that there is an opening in 2020 for a new Entertainment Book school rep, please let me know if you are keen 😂. Clearly it can only go up from here and you are guaranteed to look good. However, on a more serious note please return any unwanted books as soon as possible and finalise all payments so we can receive our cheque from the Entertainment Book company, which is normally approx. $1,000.

This week we have paid $249 for the Heart Start Grant we won to receive a Defibrillator Machine to keep on the school grounds. This should be going up shortly in a secure location. A massive thanks to Michelle Haagman for organising this for our school and community.

Finally, the finishing touches are being made to the Senior Nature Playground that we are donating $25,000 towards. The team working on the project are making some final changes to this amazing gift for the students, which will hopefully be up and running shortly. Once again this would not be possible without your support and kind donations to the school. Word on the street is that it is amazing and the kids won’t want to go home.

Our next big event is the Disco run by the very talented mums in Year 6.

Thanks again for supporting your P&F.
