Youth Group Goals
- Have 10 young people come to the youth group.
- Form relationships with the youth.
- Have at least 5 young people come for food after mass.
Goal Status
Goal 1) We had 13 young people attend the youth group. This was an awesome achievement and we look forward to the youth group’s growth over the term.
Goal 2) We had an exceptional leadership team. The leaders during fellowship time were investing in the youth with high-quality conversation.
Goal 3) Many of the young people came for food after mass with their family members also present. We had a wholesome gathering after mass and Father Bernard joined us. This definitely helped reinforced the social culture around the Church.
Youth Group Talk / Focus
The last youth group theme was returning to the father. Trinity used the story of the prodigal son to encapsulate how forgiving God is. Trin also emphasised how the story is also known as the forgiving father. She highlighted how the son asking for his father’s inheritance before death practically implies he wishes his father dead. So it takes a very forgiving father to openly welcome a son back after all of that suffering. Trin then highlighted how God the Father is infinitely more forgiving.
