On Tuesday, 24th September, we will be holding our St Dominic’s School Open Night/ Book Fair. Classrooms will be open from 5:30pm – 7:00pm for parents, siblings, family members and friends to come inside and have a look around.
This night provides an opportunity for your child to share their learning with you. You are encouraged to ask your child to lead you around the room, ask relevant questions, discuss their learning and be encouraging of their progress by providing supportive feedback. Please note that this is not a time to ask your child’s teacher any questions about your child’s progress or to compare your child’s work with others. If you would like to speak with your child’s teacher regarding their learning, please make an appointment to see them at an alternative time.
The annual school Book Fair will also be held on this night! After you have spent some time with your child in their class you may like to head to the library to see what wonderful Scholastic resources are on sale. Both cash and card sales are accepted. Please note that children are not permitted to attend the Book Fair unless they are accompanied by a parent. Children are also not permitted to play on the oval, nature playgrounds or in the undercover area during this event, as there will be no supervision.
