On Sunday, 2nd August, at 9:30am, a Family Mass will be held at St Dominic’s Church. The Year 1 and 2 families in particular are invited to come along and assist with the celebration, however, all St Dominic’s families are encouraged to attend.
As part of a Religious Education lesson, the Year 1 and 2 classes will be creating a poster relating to the Gospel of the day. The poster will be brought up to the front of the Church and displayed on the altar whilst Father Bernard reads the Gospel.
Fr Bernard welcomes and encourages families to participate by assisting with the handing out of booklets prior to Mass, altar serving, bringing up the offertory, taking on one of the readings, or sharing the prayers of the faithful with the community. If your family would like to assist in any part of the Mass, please let me know by Wednesday, 29th July, via email (leon.bolding@cewa.edu.au), so that I can inform Fr Bernard of your offer to assist.
We look forward to seeing you all there to support the Parish and to see the beautiful poster about the Gospel that our Year 1 and 2 students will be presenting.
