Year 4/5 Excursion to Fremantle Prison – Monday, 14th November

We are pleased to provide you with the following details regarding the Year 4/5 excursion to Fremantle Prison on Monday, 14th November.  This excursion has been planned to support the Year 4/5 History curriculum, looking at the impact of different groups of people on the establishment of the Swan River Colony.

The class will depart from St Dominic’s at 9.15am and return at 2.45pm.

Travel will be by bus.

Activities to be undertaken include:

  • Fremantle Prison Convict Tour
  • Visiting the Round House, the first gaol in the settlement
  • Lunch at Cicerello’s
  • Free play at the Esplanade Park

Special clothing or other requirements include:

  • Please dress your child in the school sport uniform (grey polo shirt) as we will be walking from the Round House to lunch and then playing on a playground!
  • School hat

Students will need to bring recess and a bottle of water, there will be an opportunity to eat this after the Prison tour.x
