Year 5 Excursion to the Perth Cultural Centre, State Library and Museum Boola Bardip Wrap up

On Friday, 5th May the Year 5 class went on an adventure to the Perth Cultural Centre and visited the State Library and Museum Boola Bardip.  Students participated in a historical lesson at the State Library, where they learnt about the importance of primary sources and found newspapers that dated back to 1834!  Recess was eaten on the steps of the Cultural Centre and chocolate muffins were enjoyed!

Museum Boola Bardip was the next destination and students went on a self-guided scavenger hunt that led them around the exhibitions.  A favourite was the Ngalang Koort Boodja Wirn and Wild Life – there were frogs, a python and a bobtail lizard which everyone got to pat. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to look at everything, however, after being asked by the Year 5 students, maybe we will organise another visit later this year!
