Please find attached below the minutes from this years School Advisory Council (previously known as the School Board) and P&F AGM’s. The minutes from the School Advisory Council’s AGM includes, within the Principal’s Report, the staffing structure for 2021.
As you will see in my report, we welcome some new staff members next year and also farewell some familiar faces.
We farewell, for twelve months at least, Miss Jemma Davis. Jemma was successfully appointed last week to a one year seconded Assistant Principal position at St Joseph’s School in Boulder. We wish Jemma all the very best as she transitions to this very exciting role out in the country next year.
Miss Laura Smith is also moving on at the end of the year, returning to Mother Theresa College in Baldivis. We thank Laura for all that she has done and brought to St Dominic’s this year and wish her all the very best for the future.
Mr Justin Fiume, who has been amazing this year stepping into our Year 4 classroom at short notice, will also be finishing up at the end of 2020. Justin will be taking up a new role at St Peter’s Primary School in Bedford. We sincerely thank Justin for all that he has done for the Year 4 students, their families and Jacky this year, and we wish him all the very best at his new school.
In 2021, we welcome Miss Rose Miloro and Miss Rochelle Brush to our team. Rose has been appointed as our new Pre Primary teacher and Rochelle will be assuming the Year 2 role. Both ladies are extremely excited about joining our school and we can’t wait to introduce you to them. Rose and Rochelle will be spending some time at St Dominic’s over the coming weeks, meeting the kids and speaking with staff.
You will also notice a new Education Assistant in our Kindy class. With a significant increase in Kindy numbers for 2021, an additional assistant was required to meet the necessary ratios. Mrs Natalie Thomas has been appointed to this position and joins our early years team from Newman College. After meeting the students and families at our recent Kindy Orientation morning, she can’t wait to get started.
