Another year, another Most Improved shield. Congratulations once again to our wonderful athletes, who took home the Most Improved shield for the second year in a row. We could not be prouder of the efforts that our students gave on the day in the hot conditions at HBF stadium. Our continual improvement is a testament to the hard work our students have put in over the last 5 weeks.
We would like to thank the following people for their help in the lead up to and on the day of the carnival:
- Mr Bannister for coaching the students in the lead up to our own carnival as well as the Interschool Carnival.
- Stirling Bovell for assisting with training throughout Term 3.
- To Leesa Moran, Rachel Campbell, Kathryn Vajda, Harshida Chavda and Gemma Elliss for assisting with throws and jumps. These carnivals don’t run smoothly without your help, so thank you.
- To Michelle Martin, Alicia Matrenza, Stirling Bovell and Leon Bolding for helping out on the day of the carnival with throws, jumps and marshalling.
- We would also like to make a special mention to some of our Year 3 girls who competed in events above their year level. To Sophia VP, Emily D, Mackenzie M and Elle M, thank you for giving these events your very best go.
Results on the day were as follows:
Most improved – 1st place
Boys shield – 3rd place
Girls shield – 7th place
Overall – 5th place
We are very much looking forward to seeing what we can continue to achieve in 2022.
