I am pleased to share that all but one of our amazing group of teachers, education assistants, office, and support staff will be continuing at St Dominic’s next year.
Hannah Mearns, who is officially on Maternity Leave but returned one day a week over the past eighteen months as our Pre Kindy teacher, will be returning to Maternity Leave in 2024. Replacing Hannah in Pre Kindy will be someone many of you may remember as our Pre Primary teacher back in 2021. Rose Marques, who left St Dominic’s following the birth of her first child in 2022, returns for one day a week as the Pre Kindy teacher. I wish Hannah all the very best for the year ahead and look forward to welcoming Rose back as a member of staff next year.
Although all our other staff are continuing next year, there has been, for a diverse range of reasons, some reshuffling of roles. You will also see that the decision has been made, a decision that was shared with our Year 2/3 families earlier this term, to return our current split Year 2/3 class back to straight classes in 2024.
