Ash Wednesday Mass – Wednesday, 26th February at 11:30am

Next Wednesday, 26th February, the staff and students of St Dominic’s School will mark the beginning of Lent by attending the Ash Wednesday Mass, commencing at 11:30am in St Dominic’s Church. The Year 5 class will be assisting with the mass.

Lent is a traditional time where Catholics typically give something up, as well as putting others before themselves by giving to the poor and hungry of the world. Over the coming week, students will be asked to think about something to sacrifice, as well as giving to the poor through Project Compassion.  If you would like to learn more about Ash Wednesday and the season of Lent, you may find the video located at the link below a useful resource.
