Please find below, information about the Interschool Athletics Carnival, which is to take place Tuesday, 19th September, Week 10.
Details are as follows:
- Venue: WA Athletics Stadium, Floreat
- First event: 9:30am
- Presentations: 2:00pm
- What to bring/wear: Students are required to wear their grey St Dominic’s sport shirt and St Dominic’s shorts; students are NOT ALLOWED to wear running shoes with any type of spike. Prior to the event, students will be given a singlet to run in which they can wear under their grey school shirt. They must give this back at the conclusion of the carnival. Students must also bring their school bags with a hat, drink bottle, any medication that they carry on themselves, recess and lunch.
Students will travel by bus to and from the event, the bus will be leaving at 8:45am, please allow enough time to get students to school as the bus cannot wait. If the bus is missed you will need to drop them at the event. If you intend on taking your child home at the end of the carnival, please see the teachers in the bays on the day of the carnival so they can dismiss them.
St Dominic’s will be running in LANE 4, please see attached program to take with you for the day. Parents/ spectators are seated on grassed areas and are not to enter the grandstands unless told so by the coordinator on the day, please see attached Map of the stadium, which shows where parents/ spectators may sit.
We are seeking a parent helper to assist on a field event if you are available, that would be much appreciated, please email me jasmine.crosara@cewa.edu.au.
Finally, Mr Bolding will put on an Interschool Team Breakfast on Thursday, 21st September 8:15am. All team members and those who joined in training are welcome to attend.
