2021 Interschool Cross Country Carnival Wrap up!

On the last day of Autumn, students from Year 3 to 6 participated in the Interschool Cross Country Carnival at Light St Reserve in Dianella.

Before I get into congratulations, I’d like to thank the following people;

  • Mr Bovell for helping out with training
  • Mr Bolding, Miss Lisi for coming along on the day and supervising our students
  • Mrs Elliss, Mrs Anderson, Mrs Chavda and Mrs Benini, for being course marshals on the day.  Parent help is always greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
  • All the parent supporters who came out on the day.  It was great to see so many St Dominic’s parents there.

Congratulations to all students who ran on the day.  Running long distance is never easy.  I know that our students gave it their all and never stopped trying.

In terms of overall results, our Year 6 boys took out 1st place overall.  Well done boys.  We came 7th in the most improved, and 5th overall for the day out of the 7 schools.  There were also some great individual efforts which include;

Luke O – 1st in the Year 4 boys race

James D – 2nd place in the Year 6 boys race

Martin S – 5th place in the Year 6 boys race

Arya S – 8th place in the Year 6 girls race

Emilie D – 7th place in the Year 3 girls race

Josie M – 4th place in the Year 6 girls race

Again, congratulations to all of our runners on the day, you did St Dominic’s proud and should be pleased with your efforts.

Finally, a reminder that the Cross Country Breakfast will be held this Friday at 8:00am in the school’s undercover area.  This is open to all member of the Interschool Team plus those that came to training.
