Protective Behaviours Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum at St Dominic’s School

Following on from Justin O’Malley’s presentation earlier this week and as you may be aware via communications over the past few years, we have implemented the Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum here at St Dominic’s School.  It is a government requirement that all schools adopt and implement an appropriate research based child protection program.  The Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum meets all the necessary requirements and is the program promoted by Catholic Education Western Australia.

Below are several documents that will hopefully provide you with helpful information about the program.  In addition, three parent/ carer workshop opportunities have been arranged during the year to provide further information.  I highly encourage all families to consider attending these workshops.

Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum Parent Workshops

Wednesday, 29th March at 8:45am or
Wednesday, 26th July at 6:00pm

Cybersafety Workshop

Wednesday, 3rd May at 6:00pm

If you have any questions regarding the particular aspects of the program that are being taught, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher.
