On Wednesday, 6th August, our school Social Worker, Justine O’Malley will be facilitating a Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum Parent and Carer Workshop. Details for this workshop are below.

(Please note this parent workshop is not suitable for children to attend)
It is a requirement of the Non-Government Schools Registration Standards that all students receive a protective behaviours and sexual abuse prevention education.
The Keeping Safe: Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC) is a child safety and respectful relationships curriculum for children taught in all year groups at St Dominic’s School.
The program provides age and developmentally appropriate strategies to increase children’s safety.
Parents, carers and grandparents are encouraged to attend the Keeping Safe Parent/ Carer Workshop, to learn how they can reinforce the Keeping Safe themes, focus areas and topics at home:

Theme 2: We can help ourselves to be safe by talking to people we trust
Focus Area 1: The right to be safe
Focus Area 2: Relationships
Focus Area 3: Recognising and reporting abuse
Focus Area 4: Protective strategies
