Pre-Primary and Year 1 Teddy Bear Hospital Visit – Tuesday 27 May

We’re thrilled to announce that our Pre-primary and Year 1 classes will be taking part in a special visit from the Teddy Bear Hospital (UWA) on Tuesday 27 May from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. This engaging and educational program helps ease children’s fears of medical environments through imaginative play. Each child will act as a caregiver, bringing their teddy to visit a “Teddy Doctor” (a UWA medical student), and will rotate through stations including songs and games, completing a teddy health card, using medical tools, and receiving a healthy “prescription” snack.

The Teddy Bear Hospital is a community health initiative run by UWA medical students and endorsed by the Department of Education. The experience supports learning in our Health and HASS curriculum areas. To help your child get the most from this experience, please ensure they bring a labelled teddy bear or soft toy on the day.
