Leadership has reviewed our 2024 Tree Audit; all schools are required to ensure all trees are regularly inspected and audited by a registered Arborist. In our most recent audit, a number of trees have been identified as requiring attention.
The first of which will occur over the coming holiday period. Ulmus parvifolia of the elm family, located in the Early Years playground. Although a lovely specimen of a tree, they are inappropriately located, they have caused damage already to our paths, these were grinded back over the Christmas holidays and in time they will be far too large and unsafe for the space they are in.
In consultation with the arborist and our landscape gardener the decision to remove them has been made. Moving forward we will replace these trees with more appropriate specimen and continue to add more suitable plantings as time allows.
May I also take this opportunity to extend my sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful term. It was an absolute pleasure to receive such a warm welcome into your amazing community. I have been deeply moved by your spirit of inclusion and the support I have received.
You and your families will all remain firmly in my daily prayers over the holidays. Please keep safe, enjoy and return fully enkindled for Semester Two.
God bless
