Staffing Updates – A tree change is coming

Two of our amazing staff members have recently made the decision to embark on a tree change, moving from the big smoke down to a quieter life in the South West next year.

Alison Elsegood – In 2023, Alison will be making the move to Capel to enjoy all that the South West has to offer, as well as exploring new work opportunities that may arise.  Although only having been with us for a short time, Alison has had a positive impact on our office, the team with whom she works and the broader community.  We wish Alison all the very best with the move and thank her for all that she has done for the St Dominic’s School community this year.  We look forward to her popping in for a catchup when she is back in Perth visiting family.

The process of appointing a replacement is underway and the successful applicant will be shared with the community once an appointment has been made.

Mags James – Hopefully you are sitting down for this one.  One of our much loved and long serving staff members, Mags James, has also recently made the decision to fulfil a lifelong dream of living in Margaret River.  Mags, a well known and highly respected member of our school community, has brought joy and happiness to so many students, staff and community members throughout her time here at St Dominic’s and will be greatly missed.  St Dominic’s holds so many wonderful memories for Mags and the reality of the decision is still sinking in for her as well.  Mags will always be part of our community and in our hearts wherever she goes, and we thank her for all that she has done. We truly wish her all the very best as she embarks on this exciting chapter of her life and look forward to spending the rest of the term together, as well as hearing all about her adventures next year.  One more Nativity Play extravaganza to go!

The process of appointing a replacement for Mags’ role has commenced and the successful appointment will be shared with the community once complete.
