Whole School Thanksgiving/ Graduation Mass and Awards Ceremony Details

On Friday, 11th December, commencing at 9:00am, we will be celebrating as a school community our Thanksgiving/ Graduation Mass and Awards Ceremony.  This is a very special day for our community each year and a wonderful opportunity to farewell our Year 6’s, appoint our new Year 6 leaders for 2021 and celebrate our St Dominic’s Award winners in Year’s 1 to 5.

With COVID restrictions still in place we have had to change some aspects of this years event.  Please see below the details/ changes to the day.

  • The mass and awards ceremony will be held in the school hall instead of the church
  • Mass will commence at 9:00am followed by the graduation and awards ceremony commencing at approximately 9:45am
  • Following the mass and awards ceremony, students will form a guard of honour around the school oval to farewell our graduating Year 6 students
  • The graduating class will then take part in a final farewell ceremony before transitioning to a special morning tea held in the Parish Centre

As has been the case with many of our gatherings in the second half of the year, only the direct family members (no more than 3) of our Year 5 and 6 students will be able to attend this event.  The direct family members of those winning awards will also be invited to attend the ceremony via a seperate email.

We once again appreciate your understanding and cooperation with the above information and hope that next year things will return to normal and our whole school community can once again be invited to this special morning.
