This term, the Year 1, Year 5 and Year 6 classes will be going on an excursion to Perth Zoo on Monday, 14th September. We will be going by bus, leaving school at 8:45am, and arriving back at St Dominic’s by 3:00pm that afternoon. All three classes will be participating in a lesson organised by the zoo, which is related to what is being learnt this term in HASS and English. Due to this, we will not be mixing the classes up to place them in small groups, but will try and come together during designated eating times throughout the day.
For this excursion to take place, we are seeking parent helpers to support a small group of students throughout the day. Year 1 require three helpers, Year 5 require two helpers and Year 6 require one helper. If you are available to help out on this excursion, please complete the online parent helper form linked below by Tuesday, 1st September. Your help is appreciated.
Unfortunately, due to limited spaces on the bus with three classes travelling, parent helpers will need to meet us at Perth Zoo by 9:15am.
Students will need to wear their sports uniforms (grey tops) and bring their school hats. They may like to bring a small backpack to carry their drink bottles, or they can carry it by hand. Please provide your child with their morning tea and lunch in a clearly labelled plastic bag as we will be placing these in plastic tubs. Students will not be able to buy any food or drinks at Perth Zoo.
