Every year, St Dominic’s School, Our Lady of Good Counsel, Karrinyup and St John’s Primary School, Scarborough, come together to compete in the ‘Raise Your Voice’ competition. The competition provides students with an opportunity to express their views confidently, using appropriate speaking skills. It also encourages students to research and compose a speech that shows a depth of understanding of the topic.
2 students per year level have been selected to present their speeches at the competition. The Year 5 and Year 6 students will be attending the competition to support the students who have been selected to represent our school. This year, the competition is taking place at St Dominic’s School .
Details of the competition are as follows:
Date: Monday, 22nd September
Time: 9:15am-11:45am
Venue: St Dominic’s School Hall
Uniform: As students are representing the school, all students are asked to wear their winter uniform.
Parents of students who are speaking only are most welcome to come on the day to watch their child in action.
