COVID-19 Update #15

At 8:15pm tonight the Premier announced a 4 day lockdown for the Perth and Peel region commencing at midnight tonight. This follows a further case of community spread reported this evening.

In light of this update, the following regulations and restrictions will apply to St Dominic’s School.

  • St Dominic’s will remain open.  Parents may chose to keep their children at home, as with previous lockdowns.  Parents who chose to keep their children at home should notify the School via the absentee link located on the homepage of our school website, citing COVID-19 as the reason.
  • Parents/ caregivers are able to enter the school grounds but are strongly encouraged to drop students off at the front gate or via the ‘kiss and ride’ driveway.  A reminder that students in Year 1 to 6 should not be arriving at school prior to 8:15am and our Kindy and Pre Primary students no earlier than 8:30am. The OSHClub located at Yuluma PS is available for students who require supervision before this time.
  • Masks are required to be worn by adults when dropping off or collecting students or when on the school site.  It is strongly encouraged, for the safety of our staff, that parents using the ‘kiss and ride’ option also wear a mask.
  • If entering the school grounds, please continue to sign in using the SafeWA app, make use of the hand sanitiser provided at the main gate, practice 1.5 metre physical distancing and enter and exit as quickly as possible.
  • All non essential meetings will be cancelled.  Staff will contact those families who have previously arranged meetings booked in over the coming days.

Thank you for your understanding and support of these important measures.  As further details become available, updates will be provided as soon as possible.

Information about the Government’s announcement is available on the wa.gov.au site.  The latest health information is available through the WA Health Department

Our school staff will continue to work closely with you to ensure that your child’s health and well-being remains our first priority.
