This term we will be learning about farms. Landsdale farm will provide us with a great opportunity to get some fresh air, visit the lush gardens and fun playgrounds and of course see a huge range of animals! After travelling to the farm by bus, the excursion will involve:
- A meet and greet in the garden where we will establish a meeting area to leave our belongings.
- An animal tour with a farmer.
- A cart ride around the farm.
- Time to explore the farm and gardens with access to a number of self-guided activities.
We will require 3 parent helpers who are prepared to travel by bus to be responsible for a small group of children as we make our way around the farm on this day. Unfortunately parents with siblings joining them will not be suitable for volunteering as a parent helper on this excursion. Please complete the online form linked below if you are interested in being a parent volunteer. After a simple raffle, we will inform you as soon as possible if you have been selected to attend.
Parents who are not selected as parent helpers are more than welcome to journey by car and join us on the excursion. Additional parents/ siblings will enter through the public entrance where they will be required to pay an admission fee.
Date: Thursday 31st October, 2019
Time: The bus will depart at 9.00am and arrive back at school at 2.30pm.
Children are required to bring:
- Morning tea and lunch in one lunch bag just like the one that is brought to Kindy each day (please label with your child’s name).
- A labelled water bottle
- A hat
Children are required to wear the clothes they would normally wear to school each day. Parents are advised to put sun cream on their child before we leave.
A paper copy of the permission slip linked below will be coming home with your child on Monday. Please sign this permission slip and return the form to school by Monday, 28th of October.
