Every year, St Dominic’s School, St John’s Primary School and Our Lady of Good Counsel come together during Term 4 to compete in the ‘Raise Your Voice’ competition. The competition provides students with an opportunity to express their views confidently, using appropriate speaking skills. It also encourages students to research and compose a speech that shows a depth of understanding of the topic.
The Year 5 and Year 6 students will be attending the competition to support the students who have been selected to represent our school. This year, the competition is taking place here at St Dominic’s School.
Details of the competition are as follows:
Date: Thursday, 17th November
Time: 9:30am-11:30am
Venue: St Dominic’s School Hall
Uniform: As students are representing the school, all students are asked to wear their normal summer uniform.
Parents of students who are speaking only are most welcome to join us on the day to watch their child in action.
